Whakaaria Mai
How Great Thou Art
from Texas

As featured in the New Zealand Herald, Te Ao News, and NewsTalkZB...
This project tells the little-known story of how the hymn Whakaaria Mai / How Great Thou Art became connected to Billy Graham’s 1959 visit to New Zealand. The performance features a LeTourneau University student, Glory Griffin, singing the hymn in Māori and English, accompanied on guitar by Dr Steve Elers, a Māori Anglican priest and Associate Professor of Communication at LeTourneau University.

The project was created as a tribute to the late evangelist Billy Graham, who served on the Board of Trustees of LeTourneau University from 1961 to 1975.
